Abstract:Diplomsko delo z naslovom Življenjski slog predšolskega otroka v času covida-19 sestavljata teoretični in empirični del.

Title:The lifestyle of a preschool child during the covid-19 pandemic
Abstract:The thesis entitled 'The Lifestyle of a Preschool Child during COVID-19 Pandemic' consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part first defines COVID-19, with the addition of measures along with restrictions related to coronavirus disease. It also presents the influences of COVID-19 on the family lifestyles. Furthermore, it thoroughly describes healthy and unhealthy diet, exercise and inactivity, sleep and rest, and mental health in the family of a preschool child. Moreover, it highlights the consequences of unhealthy diet and physical inactivity on the child. The empirical part examines the lifestyle of preschool children during the pandemic. The author is interested in parents' awareness of a healthy and unhealthy lifestyle and its consequences, and the affect of COVID-19 on preschool children's diet, exercise, sleep, and mental health. They want to find out whether the changes caused by COVID-19 had only negative or also positive effects on the families. However, the main interest lies in understanding of whether families, despite the limitations and many obstacles, resorted to a healthy lifestyle. The results of the research have shown that families resorted to the healthy lifestyle during the pandemic irrespective of the family's place of residence or financial situation. During COVID-19, the diet, sleep, physical activity, and mental health of preschool children remained unchanged.
