Abstract:Uvod: Za motnjo prenajedanja so značilne ponavljajoče epizode prehranjevanja, ki so strnjene v obdobje dveh ur. Vire smo iskali v podatkovnih bazah PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar in Cochrane Library.

Title:The impact of overeating on the quality of life of odolescents
Abstract:Introduction: Binge eating disorder is characterized by eating episodes that are repetitive and condensed over a period of two hours, with many psychiatric, health, and behavioral disorders that begin to appear. These factors have a particular impact on how adolescents perceive themselves and the environment in which they live. Methods: We set a PIO question, on which we got answer. We searched for resources in databases PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar and the Cochrane Library. We used the PRISMA flow diagram to select the articles, then presented their characteristics in a table, and critically evaluated them and synthesized evidence. Results: We found out that many adolescents have a poor quality of life, due to social problems, low self-esteem, impaired mobility, health complications, psychiatric, behavioral, mood, and anxiety disorders. In research, we also found out that they have certain problems with perfectionism, excessive control over their body, and intolerance. A large proportion of adolescents also have problems with obesity. Discussion and conclusion: Findings show that overeating has many disadvantages, manifested in the mental, physical and social areas of adolescents. Most worrying, however, is the fact that these problems escalate with age, resulting in greater consequences in the future.
