Abstract:V magistrski nalogi smo preučevali delovanje rožmarinskih ekstraktov (1 % in 2 %) na človeške celice in poskušali pokazati, da rožmarin deluje antigenotoksično in antioksidativno. V raziskavi smo uporabili celice človeškega hepatocelularnega hepatoma (HepG2).
Keywords:rožmarinski ekstrakt, rožmarinska kislina, AFB1, t-BHP, antioksidant, antigenotoksičen, test MTT, test komet, HepG2

Title:Antigenotoxic potential of rosemary extracts
Abstract:In the Master thesis we studied the effect of rosemary extracts (1 % and 2 %) on human cells and tried to show that rosemary exhibits antigenotoxic and antioxidant effects. Human hepatocellular hepatoma cells (HepG2) were used in the studies. Using the MTT test, we studied the cytotoxicity of the extracts themselves, with the comet test we tested a possible DNA cell damage after treatment with the studied compounds in combination with tert-butyl hydroxide (t-BHP) and aflatoxin B1 (AFB1).
Keywords:rosemary extract, rosemary acid, AFB1, t-BHP, antioxidant, antigenotoxic, MTT test, comet test, HepG2
