Abstract:Ciljno iskanje iskanih oseb je kljub starosti države po mnenju drugih avtorjev ostalo dokaj nedotaknjeno in ostaja novost v sistemu dela policije v Republiki Sloveniji (RS) (Volmajer, 2016).

Title:Target search of wanted person
Abstract:Target search of wanted persons in Slovenia is quite intact area of police work, despite country age is target search of wanted persons still novelty of a system (Volmajer, 2016). The diploma thesis deals with differences between search of missing people and target search of wanted people. This two areas of police work are usually substituted by the layman's even though they are very different areas in terms of participants and policing. Target search of wanted people remains one of hidden fields of policing in Slovenia. It still gets mixed-up with other areas of police where the problem is that they are different forms of work, whit different objectives and resons, which infringe on human rights and freedoms. Crime police sector of Police Directorate has jurisdiction for arrest warrant on local and regional level in Slovenia. After the arrest warrant notice the police work and techniques of searching stays hidden and they are depended on criminal investigator's knowledge, work experience and motive power for target search of wanted people (Volmajer, 2016). We discovered that field of target search of wanted people is very dispersed in Slovenia legislation and can be found in many laws. That is causing problems in guidelines for police work and because of that police can overlook different opportunities for using powers which are defined and allowed in laws. For example Slovenian police is not using all of their legal powers on mass media field and because of that they can't fully benefit from public help.
