Title:Odkup telet lisaste pasme za namene progenega testa v preteklih 30 letih

Abstract:Raziskava, kjer smo proučevali vpliv izvornih rej (AP-kontrola mlečnosti in Z-registracija in označitev) in vhlevitvene mase telet na končne klavne ter pitovne lastnosti je bila izvedena pod okriljem Fakultete za kmetijstvo in biosistemske vede. Zajeli smo podatke progenega testa za lisasto pasmo za obdobje 30 let (1988–2018). Progeni test (PT) je v tem času potekal na dveh lokacijah, in sicer v Rogozi in Lenartu – Žipo Lenart d. o. o., kjer test poteka še danes. V raziskavo je bilo vključenih 4115 bikov po 538 očetih. Teleta iz AP-kontrole so bila ob vhlevitvi v PT v povprečju lažja in starejša v primerjavi s tistimi iz Z-kontrole. Pričakovano so teleta iz AP-kontrole imela boljše priraste v obdobju do prestavitve, saj so bila bolje pripravljena na odstavitev. Pri prirastih v času pitanju je prišlo do malih, a značilnih razlik, kjer so teleta iz AP-kontrole dosegla višje priraste. Glede na vhlevitveno maso smo teleta razdelili v 4 različne skupine: < 100 kg, 100–125 kg, 126–150 kg in > 150 kg. V obdobju do prestavitve so najvišje priraste dosegla teleta z najlažjo maso ob vhlevitvi < 100 kg, sledijo 100–125 kg, 126–150 kg in > 150 kg, kar povezujemo s tem, da so bila najlažja teleta še pred odstavitvijo navajena na zauživanje krmnih mešanic in voluminozne krme. Prirasti v času pitanja so bili obratno sorazmerni s prirasti v obdobju vhlevitev-prestavitev. Teleta, ki so imela vhlevitveno maso > 150 kg, so imela najvišje dnevne priraste v obdobju pitanja (1243 g/dan), čeprav nam model ni pokazal statistično značilnih razlik.

Title:The purchase of simmental calves for progeny testing for the last 30 years
Abstract:The research, where the influence of the original breeding (AP- milking control and Z-without milking control) and breeding mass of calves on the final slaughter and fattening characteristics was studied, was carried out at the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Data spanning over a thirty-year test period (1988–2018) were included. During this time, the test took place at two locations, Rogoza and Žipo Lenart d.o.o., where the test is still taking place. We included 4115 bulls after 538 fathers in the study. Bulls from the AP control came to the test on average lighter and slightly older compared to those from the Z control. As expected, calves from the AP control had better increments in the period up to the shift, as they were better prepared for weaning. There were small but significant differences in live weight gains, where calves from the AP control achieved higher gains. Weighing masses were ranked into four different groups: < 100 kg, 100–125 kg, 126–150 kg and > 150 kg. In the period before weaning, the highest increments were achieved by animals from the first lightest group < 100 kg, followed by the 100–125 kg, 126–150 kg and last groups >150 kg, which is associated with the fact that the lightest calves were already fed solid feed intake. Live weight gains were inversely proportional to increments in the infiltration-shift period. Calves that came to the test weighing >150 kg had the highest life gains (1243 g/day), although the model did not show statistically significant differences.
