Title:Possibilities of establishing a system of common generator busbars at Ljubljana airport
Abstract:Ljubljana Airport is classified as a critical infrastructure of the Republic of Slovenia, so it is extremely sensitive to possible power outages. In my master's, I discussed the possibility of implementing two different systems of common generator busbars, which would connect currently separated diesel generator units and critical consumers who are particularly vulnerable to power outages. First, I considered a low voltage system based on the extension of existing controllers that control individual diesel generator units and generator power swtiching panels. Based on the calculations, I have defined the low voltage system in more detail. In the following, I also defined the medium voltage system, which I also defined in more detail by using the medium voltage cable calculations. At the end, I found that the implementation of a low voltage system is more appropriate, since the functionality of the low voltage system of common generator busbars is higher than the functionality of the medium voltage system. The implementation of a low voltage system would also be much easier because carrying out reworks on the electroenergetic network, there would be much less reworks in the case of the implementation of a low voltage system than in the case of implementation of the medium voltage system.
