Abstract:V magistrskem delu smo želeli ugotoviti zavzetost in izgorelost ljudi pri izvajanju zaščitnih ukrepov za covid-19. V prvem delu magistrskega dela smo opredelili teoretične osnove in predstavili vprašalnika Utretch Work Engagement Scale for Student (UWES-S) in Maslach Burnout Inventory- Student Survey (MBI-SS). V empiričnem delu smo predstavili lastno raziskavo o zavzetosti in izgorelosti, ki smo jo izvedli s pomočjo prilagojenega UWES-S in prilagojenega MBI-SS vprašalnika.

Title:General commitment of the people to implement protective measures for covid-19
Abstract:In the master’s thesis, we wanted to determine the commitment and burnout of people in the implementation of protective measures for covid-19. An epidemic was declared in Slovenia from 12th March 2020 to 31st May 2020, due to the growing number of infections with the new coronavirus. On 18th October 2020, the number of infections with the new coronavirus increased again, so the epidemic was declared again, and this time it lasted until 15th June 2021. With the declaration of the epidemic, public life in Slovenia came to a halt. To prevent the spread of infections, certain measures came into force to help control the epidemic. Some remain valid even after the revocation of the epidemic. People’s commitment is key to achieving the organization’s goals and performance, and represents the opposite of burnout. Burnout manifests itself primarily on the emotional level of the individual, leading to depression, loneliness, and dissatisfaction. In the first part of the master’s thesis, we defined the theoretical foundations and presented the questionnaires Utretch Work Engagement Scale for Student (UWES-S) and Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey (MBI-SS). In the empirical part, we presented our own research on engagement and burnout, which we conducted using a customized UWES-S and a customized MBI-SS questionnaire. For both questionnaires, we used a 7-point scale from 0 (never) to 6 (every day). Through the research we found that the commitment according to the UWES-S questionnaire does not affect age, gender and level of education. We also found that according to the MBI-SS questionnaire, gender and level of education do not affect burnout. Older people are less cynical and more efficient, thus less burned out when considering covid-19 measures.
