Title:Paleopodnebne spremembe v Evropi: od pliocena do antropocena

Abstract:Vedno bolj smo podvrženi enostranskim informacijam o podnebnih spremembah, kjer je s strani medijev izpostavljeno, da je edini dejavnik, ki nanj vpliva, človek. Pri tem se izpodrivajo dejstva, da je podnebje podvrženo tudi naravnim dejavnikom, ki vplivajo na njegovo spreminjanje. Le-ta so vplivala na podnebje vse od njegovega nastanka. Zato splošne trditve, da je človek s svojimi dejanji edini vzrok za podnebne spremembe, ni mogoče potrditi. Lahko pa se poudari, da ima le-ta v sedanjosti največjo vplivno moč na spreminjanje podnebja kot kadar koli prej. Kljub negativnim posledicam, ki jih imajo podnebne spremembe v današnjem času, je treba poudariti, da se brez njih na Zemlji ne bi mogle izoblikovati primerne razmere, ki bi omogočile razvoj življenja. Ob spreminjanju podnebja so se organizmi temu morali tudi prilagajati, kar je spodbujalo evolucijo in vodilo v razvoj vrste Homo sapiens sapiens. Slednja raziskava se nanaša na preučevanje podnebnih sprememb v geoloških obdobjih od pliocena do antropocena. Z analizo dostopnih prostorskih podatkov sta izračunani intenzivnost in smer podnebnih sprememb za prej omenjena obdobja na območju Evrope. Prikazano je, kako močno se je podnebje skozi geološko zgodovino spreminjalo – izmenjevanje toplih in hladnih obdobij – ki so imela različne posledice za relief, floro, favno in Hominide. Primerjamo obdobje antropocena z ostalimi omejenimi geološkimi obdobji. Ta primerjava je pripomogla k pridobitvi ocene primerljivosti recentnih podnebnih sprememb s preteklimi.

Title:Paleo-Climate change in Europe: from Pliocene to Anthropocene
Abstract:The current trend on information provided by the media is presenting human activity as the sole contributor towards climate change and by doing that the presence of factors that exist in nature and also contribute to the phenomena are being overlooked. The latter are objectively speaking having an effect on climate since the very beginning. That being said, the claim on humans being the sole reason for climate change can not be confirmed. What can be claimed is that the impact of human factors on climate change in current time is greater than in any previous era. Despite the negative consequence climate change has in this point in time, it is crucial to understand how significant its presence was and still is in shaping the perfect conditions of planet Earth that eventually led to living organisms. The combination of numerous factors, climate factors being some of them, prompt towards evolution and development of our species Homo sapiens sapiens. The following analysis explores climate change in different geological eras starting from Pliocene all the way to Anthropocene. The intensity and course of climate change in Europe for previously mentioned eras will be obtained by analysing diverse data. With help of said data it will be possible to show the changes in climate throughout geological history and its interchanging warm and cold periods that had diverse effects on relief, flora, fauna and hominids. There will also be a comparison between Anthropocene and the rest of geological eras with which it will be determined which period of time has the most similarities with the climate of Anthropocene.
