Abstract:Uvod: S podaljševanjem življenjske dobe se veča možnost razvoja kroničnih nenalezljivih bolezni pri posameznikih.

Title:Person-Centred care based on palliative care
Abstract:Introduction: Prolonging life expectancy improves the possibility of developing chronic non-communicable diseases in individuals. Person-centred palliative care is one of the essential approaches to maintaining and improving the quality of life of a patient with chronic non-communicable disease and important others. The review aims to explore aspects critical to the implementation of person-centred care in the context of palliative care. Methods: We used a systematic examination using the examination method, analysis and synthesis of scientific literature, and compilation. We followed PRSIMA guidelines for conducting a systematic review, and we used the Joanna Briggs Institutes assessment tool to evaluate the articles. Thematic analysis of the data was used to show data analysis. Results: Of the 1,332 identified, seven articles were included in the final analysis. We identified five secondary themes related to the key elements of providing person-oriented palliative care in patients with chronic non-communicable disease: (1) Approach to palliative care; (2) Aspects of palliative care; (3) Palliative environment, (4) Early provision of palliative care and (5) Barriers to the provision of palliative care. Discussion and conclusion: The systematic reviews show that person-centred palliative care positively impacts maintaining and enhancing the patient's quality of life implemented at an appropriate time and includes person-centric principles, a pre-defined plan that supports important others and other healthcare professionals who encounter the patient.
