Title:Financial stress in the united states
Abstract:The COVID-19 pandemic and the measures to contain the SARS-Cov-2 virus have contributed to major changes in the financial system in a very short time. The trouble arises because the impact of the measures on the economy is not known. We will define the impact of the financial stress in the USA on individuals and the economy during the COVID-19 pandemic. We found that unemployment in the USA during the COVID-19 pandemic has risen by 10.4%. The financial system needs to be monitored at all times, in order to identify risks and take measures accordingly. If businesses wish to prosper in the future, it is crucial to monitor the financial stability. We found that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a negative impact on financial stability. The latter can be measured using financial stress indices. We used the CISS index as well as the CFSI, KCFSI AND STLFSI2, and we found that the financial stress increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. Financial stress is one of the most important sources of psychosocial stress. Financial stress has been the greatest stress factor since the global financial crisis of 2008. We found that stress affects an individual’s productivity, motivation and performance. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the value of the S&P 500 stock index has decreased, which resulted in stock prices dropping.
