Abstract:Namen magistrskega dela je bil preučiti stopnjo koherentnosti in kohezivnosti pri pripovedovanju otrok. Vsi učenci so zgodbi podali nenavaden naslov.

Title:The abilities of third graders to tell a story
Abstract:The objective of this thesis was to study the level of coherence and cohesiveness in children while storytelling. In addition to that, it seeked to discover any differences in the average use of single-clause and multiple-clause sentences and in the average use of words in all sentences by age. At the end, it was also interesting to see whether children can put picture clues into a meaningful order and add a title to their story and how unusual the title was. The research included 22 children in grade 3. A selection of five picture clues was used. Ther level of coherence and cohesiveness was high. No differences were observed regarding coherence and cohesiveness in gender, both male and female students received the same amount of points. Average use of sentences was similar among the students in this age group. The difference was only visible at average use of words in all sentences where the average use was higher for older students. The results also showed that all students gave a title to their story and managed to assign a logical order to pictures. All students used an imaginative title.
