Abstract:Zaključno delo zajema eksperimentalno analizo superhidrofobnega betona. Superhidrofobni materiali imajo kontaktne kote, večje od 150°, njihove površine so samočistilne, so korozijsko odporni in imajo visoko odpornost proti zmrzovanju. Kontaktne kote smo izmerili s pomočjo kapljične tenziometrije ob uporabi računalniških algoritmov. Upogibno in tlačno trdnost smo izmerili s pomočjo univerzalne testne naprave za preizkušanje materialov Zwick Roell Z010. Morfologijo superhidrofobne površine smo preučili s pomočjo mikroskopa SEM-SEI (Scanning Electron Microscopy – Secondary Electron Imaging). Z namenom ugotoviti trajnost armiranega superhidrofobnega betona, smo izvedli elektrokemijske meritve pospešene korozije s potenciostatom. Pripravljeni superhidrofobni betoni z izboljšanimi lastnostmi imajo velik potencial v gradbeni praksi.

Title:Experimental analysis of superhydrophobic concrete
Abstract:Thesis presents the experimental analysis of superhydrophobic concrete. The contact angles of superhydrophobic materials are greater than 150°, their surfaces are self-cleaning, they are resistant to corrosion and highly resistant to freezing. The contact angles were measured using drop tensiometry and computer algorithms, while the flexural and compressive strength were measured using the universal material testing device Zwick Roell Z010. The morphology of the superhydrophobic surface was studied using a SEM-SEI microscope (Scanning Electron Microscopy – Secondary Electron Imaging). To determine the durability of the reinforced superhydrophobic concrete, we performed electrochemical measurements of accelerated corrosion using a potentiostat. The resistance of the prepared superhydrophobic concrete to freezing/thawing was tested in a freeze/thaw test chamber. We successfully prepared superhydrophobic concrete with micro- and nano- grooves on its surface, highly water-repellent properties and contact angles up to 157.6°. The use of chemical agents reduced its compressive and flexural properties, while improving the resistance of the surface of the specimens to freezing/melting. Electrochemical tests conducted on the reinforced superhydrophobic concrete showed significantly improved resistance to corrosion. The produced superhydrophobic concrete with improved properties has great potential in the construction industry.
