Opis: | Probiotics are live microorganisms that, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit on the host. Stimulation of the development of probiotic microorganisms can be attributed to prebiotics. The concept of synbiotics is to combine probiotics and prebiotics to ensure the survival of probiotics and thus a greater beneficial effect on health. In the master's thesis we wanted to find out the awareness and use of probiotics, prebiotics and synbiotics among users of the online networks. Research was based on a quantitative research methodology. A positivist philosophy was used. In the empirical part, we did a survey using a translated survey questionnaire, which was distributed to the public using the 1KA online survey and the Facebook social network. The obtained data were statistically edited and analyzed (Microsoft Word 2010, Microsoft Excel 2010, IBM SPSS Statistic 25.0). We used the Cramar correlation coefficient, the T-test, Hi-square test and binom test.We found that the awareness and use of probiotics, prebiotics and synbiotics among web users is very good. Use of probiotics, prebiotics and synbiotics is higher in our area than in the previous research. Education level and age do not affect the use of these alone. A significant difference existed by age and awareness of probiotics, prebiotics, and synbiotics. The older group of respondents are less familiar with probiotics, prebiotics and synbiotics, as previous research also revealed. Research shows that respondents would like to use probiotics when they are presented with their action and effect on health. Proper knowledge of health workers is therefore crucial. Patients often ask about proper nutrition, supplements, which also include probiotics, prebiotics and synbiotics. Facebook was a good tool in getting survey data. |
