Abstract:Digitalni mediji so dandanes ogromni posrednik informacij in zabave. Filmi, igre in drugi mediji so polni nenavadnih živali, pošasti, stavb, narave, itd. Mnogo teh je ustvarjenih v 3D produkciji, ki zaposluje programerje, 3D oblikovalce, konceptualne umetnike in še več. 3D oblikovalci s pomočjo različnih digitalnih orodij ustvarjajo 3D modele, ki jih v prej navedenih medijih kasneje zaznavamo. V diplomski nalogi predstavimo splošni potek 3D produkcijskega cevovoda, med seboj primerjamo modelirnika ZBrush in Blender za digitalno kiparjenje ter prikažemo izdelavo 3D model moškega telesa v obeh modelirnikih.

Title:Comparing ZBrush and Blender as digital sculpting tools
Abstract:Digital media today are an enormous provider of information and entertainment. Games, movies and other media are full of unusual animals, monsters, buildings, nature, etc. Many of these are created in 3D production which employs programmers, 3D artists, concept artists and many more. 3D artists use various digital tools to create 3D models, which we later perceive in these media. In this diploma thesis the general course of the 3D production pipeline is presented, comparison of two modeling tools ZBrush and Blender for digital sculpting is done and the creation of a 3D model of the male body in both modeling tools is shown.
