Opis:Diplomsko delo z naslovom Varstvo otrok v času pandemije COVID-19 obravnava otrokove pravice ter njihovo varstvo v času pandemije. V začetnem delu so navedeni temeljni pojmi, ki so pomembni za celotno razumevanje diplomskega dela, kot je razvoj otrokovih pravic, kaj so otrokove pravice, opredeljena pa je tudi definicija otroka iz različnih pravnih virov. Razložen je pojem pandemije in razlikovanje s pojmom epidemije ter opisana je koronavirusna bolezen COVID-19 in potek dogodkov, ki so pripeljali do razglasitve pandemije. Ker je največja posledica pandemije COVID-19 zaprtje izobraževalnih ustanov ter uvedba šolanja na daljavo, je osrednji del diplomskega dela usmerjen v pravice do izobraževanja otrok ter njihovo varstvo v primeru kršitev. V nadaljevanju dela je predstavljena pravica do izobrazbe in varstvu otrok v šoli, del pa je namenjen kršitvi teh pravic ter odgovornost za njihov nastanek. Varuh človekovih pravic je pomemben člen, ki varuje otrokove pravice, zato je del namenjen tudi predstavitvi njegovega dela, prav tako pa so na kratko omenjene tudi druge nevladne organizacije, ki se v največji meri posvečajo varstvu otrokovih pravic. Ker je pandemija izredno stanje, je opisano tudi izobraževanja v izrednem stanju na splošno. V osrednjem delu je največji del namenjen predstavitvi načina izobraževanja v času pandemije, težave, s katerimi so se srečevali učenci ter njihovi starši, ter katere pravice otrok so največkrat kršene. Predstavljene pa so tudi nekatere posledice zaprtja izobraževalnih ustanov, kot so motena prehrana otrok, problematika varstva zasebnosti otrok ter pomoč družine pri učenju od doma. V zaključku diplomske naloge bom navedla nekatera priporočila, ki jih naj upoštevajo države, v primeru ponovnega zaprtja šol, kajti virus se ni nehal širiti in lahko pride do ponovnega zaprtja celotne šole ali posameznega oddelka. V sklepu sem navedla svoje ugotovitve, ki sem jih spoznala med pisanjem diplomskega dela.

Naslov:Child protection during the COVID-19 pandemic
Opis:Diploma thesis entitled Child protection during COVID-19 pandemic considers children's rights and their protection during pandemic. At the beginning, basic concepts fundamental for understanding the thesis are explained, such as development of children's rights, definition of children's rights and the definition of a child from various legal sources. The concept of pandemic and the difference between pandemic and epidemic is explained, in addition to the illness caused by COVID-19 and also the course of the events that led to the pandemic declaration. On the grounds that two of the biggest changes during pandemic COVID-19 were closure of educational institutions and distance learning initiation, these represent the central part of the thesis with the focus on the rights to education for children and their protection in case of violation of these rights. The right to education and child care in school is explained further on in the thesis, as well as violation of these rights and the responsibility for its emergence. Ombudsman is an important part of children's rights protection and for this reason his work is explained in detail. In addition, other non-governmental organisations that are dedicated to protect and promote children's rights are mentioned. Pandemic represents a state of emergency and for this reason education during state of emergency in general is described. In the middle part of the thesis, the main part is dedicated to introducing different approaches of education during pandemic, difficulties children and their parents came across and also children's rights that were often violated. Some of the consequences of closing down educational institutions are explained, such as disturbed eating habits in children, the problematics of children's privacy protection and the help of the family in distance learning. Considering the fact the virus has not stopped spreading, in the last part of the thesis I defined some of the recommendations that are advised to be followed by other governments in case of another school closure. In conclusion I stated my findings I learned during this thesis writing.
