Abstract:	Inflacija je pojav naraščanja splošne ravni cen. V zadnjih 30 letih smo priča konstantno nizkim stopnjam inflacije. Ocenjevanje in razumevanje inflacije je ključnega pomena pri oblikovanju in vodenju uspešne ekonomske politike. V tem delu obravnavamo teorijo o inflaciji in poglavitne dejavnike, ki vplivajo na inflacijsko gibanje. Prikažemo gospodarska in inflacijska gibanja držav članic G7 v obdobju od 1990 do 2019. Problem, ki ga predstavimo, je nenavadno nizka stopnja inflacije v zadnjem desetletju in nezmožnost monetarne politike, da bi ta problem razrešila. V delu pridemo do sklepa, da je ohranjanje stabilne inflacije ključnega pomena za gospodarski napredek držav. Dejavniki, kot so mednarodna trgovina, globalizacija, tehnološki napredek in plačna gibanja, pomembno krojijo dinamiko inflacije v skupini držav članic G7.

Title:	The specificities of inflation movements in G7 countries
Abstract:	Inflation is a phenomenon in which the general price level rises. Over the last 30 years, we have witnessed constantly low inflation rates. Assessing and understanding inflation is crucial in formulating and conducting a successful economic policy. We discuss the theory of inflation and the main factors that influence inflation. We show the economic and inflationary trends of the G7 countries in the period from 1990 to 2019. The problem we present is the unusually low rate of inflation over the last decade and the inability of monetary policy to solve this problem. We conclude that maintaining stable inflation is crucial for countries' economic growth. Factors such as international trade, globalization, technological progress and wage movements are the main drivers of inflation in G7 countries.
