Title:Vpliv štiri izmenskega dela na zdravje starejših zaposlenih v livarskem podjetju x

Abstract:Magistrsko delo obravnava zdravje starejših zaposlenih, ki delajo po principu štirih izmen v livarskem podjetju x. Delo v livarskem podjetju, na funkciji livarja, je že samo po sebi zahtevno zaradi velikih fizičnih naporov, izpostavljenosti visokim temperaturam, hrupu ipd. Dodatno delo otežuje tudi princip dela na štiri izmene. Splošno znano je, da se s staranjem človeka zmanjšujejo njegove psihofizične sposobnosti za delo. Magistrsko delo Vpliv štiri izmenskega dela na zdravje starejših zaposlenih v livarskem podjetju x je sestavljeno iz dveh delov – teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. V teoretičnem delu spoznamo pojme štirih izmen, indeksa delovne zmožnosti, stresa, nočnega dela, zdravja zaposlenih in posebej izpostavimo vse pojme v povezavi s starejšimi zaposlenimi. V empiričnem delu pa analiziramo rezultate anketnega vprašalnika, razdeljenega med zaposlene v livarskem podjetju x. Rezultate analiziramo s statističnim orodjem SPSS. Zanima nas primerjava mlajših in starejših delavcev v povezavi s številom bolniških odsotnosti, rezultati indeksa delovne zmožnosti, stresom in spanjem. Ugotoviti želimo, ali obstajajo statistične razlike med tema dvema skupinama z namenom, da ozavestimo morebitno problematiko starejših zaposlenih v livarskem podjetju x. Zastavimo si šest raziskovalnih hipotez, za njihovo testiranje pa uporabimo metode t-test (independent samples t-test), Hi-kvadrat test in metodo Spearmanovega koeficienta. Starejše zaposlene v magistrskem delu definiramo kot starejše kot 41 let. Delež takih v livarskem podjetju x je 29 %. Zgolj 7 % starejših je svojo delovno zmožnost ocenilo z »najboljša delovna zmožnost«, kar je v primerjavi z mlajšimi znatno manjše, saj je ta odgovor izbralo kar 53 % mladih. Prav tako so starejši zaposleni bistveno bolj bolni kot mlajši zaposleni. Brez bolezni je kar 76 % mladih, medtem ko ugotavljamo, da ima kar 53 % starejših več kot eno bolezen (dve, tri ali več bolezni). Starejši zaposleni so tudi več bolniško odsotni (polovica jih izbere odgovor »10–24 dni« na leto, mladi v večini (47 %) izberejo odgovor »nič«). Zanimiva ugotovitev je, da ni statističnih razlik med povezavo starosti zaposlenega in količino stresa na delovnem mestu. Enako ne ugotovimo statističnih razlik pri količini spanja po končanem delu zaposlenega v povezavi s starostjo. Ugotovimo, da se starejši zaposleni v večini soočajo z dodatnimi težavami v delovnem okolju, ki jih prinaša proces staranja. Pomembno je, da v organizaciji prepoznamo te težave in iščemo možnosti za izboljšave pri delu s starejšimi. Na podlagi dobljenih rezultatov anketnega vprašalnika v empiričnem delu magistrskega dela predlagamo ukrepe za lažje obvladovanje stresa, bolj kakovostno spanje, manjše število bolniških odsotnosti ter izboljšanje indeksa delovne zmožnosti pri starejših zaposlenih. Verjamemo, da na tak način v podjetju ne investirajo zgolj v zaposlene, pač pa tudi v večjo produktivnost in v dvig konkurenčnosti.

Title:The impact of four shift work on the health of older employees in the x foundry company
Abstract:Final work deals with the health of older employees, who work on the principle of four shift work in the x foundry company. Working in the founfry company as fundy worker is hard itself due to huge physical exertaion, exposure to high temperatures, and noise. It is even more difficult to work due to work on the principle od four hour shift work. It is well known that aging is lowering psychophysical ability to work. Final work The impact of four shift work on the health of older employees in the x foundry company is composed of two parts. In the theoretical part, we learn about the concepts of shift works, work ability index, stress, night work, health of employees and their relation to older employees. In the appliciative part, we analyze results of questionnaire, which we gave to all employee. We analyse results with statistical tool SPSS. We are interested in a comaprison of younger and older workers in relation of number of sick leaves, results of work ability index, stress and sleep. We want to find out if there are any statistical differences between these two groups, with the purpose to acknowledge possible problematic of older employees in the foundry company x. We define 6 research hypothesis and we use serval methods to analyse them such as independent sample t-test, Pearson Chi-square test and method of Spearman's rank correlation. In our final work we define older employees as person older than 41 years. In foundry company X they represent 29 % of all employees. Just 7 % of older employees rate their work ability as »the best work ability«, which is significantly smaller in comparison with younger employees, who pick same answer in 53 % cases. We also see that older employees are significantly more ill in comparison with younger employees. 76 % of younger employees have no disease. 53 % of older employees have more than just one disease (two, three or more). Older employees are also more absent from work due to health problems than younger employees (half of older pick answer 10-24 days per year, younger employees mostly pick answer »zero« with 47 %. Interesting finding is that we can't see any statistic differences between connection of age of employee and amount of stress faced at the work. We also find out that there is no statistical differences at amount of sleeping of employee after work and their age. We find out that older employees face additional problems in the working environment due to agging process. It is important to recognise these problems in the organization and look for opportunities for improvement. Based on results of questionnaire, we propose measures to alleviate stress, give advices for better sleep, reduce number of sick leavels and improve the work ability index. We believe that is proper way to invest in employees, even more, we consider investing in employees as investment in our own company in the way of rising of productivity and rising competitiveness.
