Title:Primerjava higiene površin pripomočkov za večkratno uporabo med dvema zdravstvenima ustanovama

Abstract:Uvod Za ustrezen nadzor in preprečevanje širjenja okužb povezanih z zdravstvom preko površin in pripomočkov za večkratno uporabo, je smiselno poznavanje mikrobne populacije ter izbira dezinfekcijskih sredstev, ki so v skladu z Uredbo (EU) št. 538/2012 o dostopnosti na trgu in uporabi biocidnih proizvodov. Metode Uporabili smo deskriptivno in kvantitativno metodo dela. Podatke smo zbrali z mikrobiološkim vzorčenjem površin pripomočkov za večkratno uporabo v dveh različnih zdravstvenih ustanovah. Rezultati Na pripomočkih za večkratno uporabo smo identificirali 23 različnih vrst mikroorganizmov. Najpogostejši mikroorganizmi so bili iz rodu Staphylococcus, ki spadajo med stalno mikrobno populacijo na rokah in iz rodu Bacillus, ki spadajo med prehodno mikrobno populacijo. Biocidnih proizvodov, ki jih uporabljajo v izbranih zdravstvenih ustanovah, ni na seznamu Registra biocidnih proizvodov Republike Slovenije. Razprava in sklep Higiena površin in pripomočkov za večkratno uporabo je bistvenega pomena, saj je to eden izmed načinov preprečevanja širjenja mikroorganizmov, ki povzročajo okužbe povezane z zdravstvom. Smiselno bi bilo določiti standarde in dezinfekcijska sredstva za namen vzdrževanja ustrezne higiene površin pripomočkov za večkratno uporabo v zdravstvenem okolju.

Title:Comparison of reusable devices surface hygiene between two healthcare facilites
Abstract:Introduction In order to adequately control and prevent the spread of healthcare associated infections through reusable surfaces and devices, it makes sense to know the microbial population and to choose disinfectants that comply with Regulation (EU) No 182/2011. 538/2012 on the making available on the market and use of biocidal products. Methods We used a descriptive and quantitative method of work. Data were collected by microbiological sampling of the surfaces of reusable devices in two different healthcare facilities. Results 23 different types of microorganisms were identified on reusable devices. The most common microorganisms were from the genus Staphylococcus, which belong to the permanent microbial population on the hands, and from the genus Bacillus, which belong to the transient microbial population. Biocidal products used in selected health care institutions are not on the list of the Register of Biocidal Products of the Republic of Slovenia. Discussion and conclusion Hygiene of reusable surfaces and devices is essential as it is one of the ways to prevent the spread of microorganisms that cause healthcare associated infections. It would make sense to set standards and disinfectants for the purpose of maintaining proper surface hygiene of reusable devices in a healthcare environment.
