Abstract:V magistrski nalogi predstavimo problematiko stresa na delovnem mestu in odzive, vplive in posledice, povezane s stresom. S primerjavo statistik in dobrih praks znotraj Evrope in ZDA izpostavimo obsežno problematiko stresa v delovnem okolju.

Title:Stress at work – comparing measures and actions of european countries and USA
Abstract:In the master's thesis, we presented the problematics of stress in the workplace, including responses, impacts and consequences associated with stress. We were interested in exploring how stress impacts the human body and what kind of issues individuals face under stress. We presented the ways individuals and organizations can manage stress. We have distinguished between concepts of stress and pressure to point out the key differences. Explaining the different sources of stress in the workplace and the benefits of successfully managing stress were key to understanding the problem of workplace stress from a broader perspective. We continued with identifying different ways an organization can perceive stress and explained the benefits of stress management from the organization's perspective and from an individual's perspective. By comparing statistics and good practices within Europe and the USA, we highlighted the extensive issue of stress in the work environment. We have listed the most common problems connected to stress and how workers in Europe and USA are responding to it. We presented some of the good practices of organizations, from both Europe and USA, in which organizations are successfully preventing or managing stress and thus exemplified the benefits of such behavior.
