Gesla so postala najšibkejša povezava v varnostnem sistemu organizacije. Zato postaja informacijska varnost vse pomembnejša. To je postavilo poudarek na biometrično varnost, saj je to edini učinkovit način dokazovanja identitete posameznika. Biometrija dobiva vse večji pomen v sodobnem svetu.

Title:Biometric security
Abstract:With digital technology infiltrating every aspect of modern life and the world, protecting confidential information is so much more difficult. Once, passwords and keys were sufficient to ensure data security, but nowadays they are extremely weak against hacker attacks. Passwords have become the weakest link in an organization’s security system. As a result, information security is becoming increasingly important. This has placed emphasis on biometric security, as it is the only effective way to prove an individual’s identity. Biometrics is gaining more and more importance in the modern world. The use is steadily increasing, it can be observed in many areas and is used for various purposes. From an individual perspective, biometrics has many practical advantages over traditional security. Biometrics are considered the fastest, safest, and most convenient type of security. Nowadays, we use it every day, from unlocking our mobile phone with a fingerprint, to identifying ourselves at airports. Biometrics have tremendous advantages and some even consider it to be perfect and cannot be bypassed. However, if we go deeper, we see that biometrics is not impenetrable, despite its great advantages, it still has many vulnerabilities.
