Dodatni dejavniki so še spol in delovno mesto oziroma izobrazba.

Title:The perception of patients towards healthcare workers with tattoos
Abstract:Introduction: The appearance of health care workers with tattoos may affect a patient's perception of the health care worker. The purpose of this thesis was to research a patient's perception of health care workers based on the literature review. Methods: The methods used were the descriptive, comparative, compiling method and the methods of analysis and synthesis. The literature was acquired with the help of key words in English and German in databases CINAHL, PubMed, SAGE, Science Direct and Web of Science. The literature review is shown with the PRISMA diagram. Results: Out of 727 identified hits 8 were included in the final analysis. The visibility of a tattoo on a health care worker negatively impacts a patient's perception of the health worker's abilities and professionalism. Additional factors are gender and work position. Female health care workers particularly female nurses with visible tattoos are seen more negatively than any other health care worker. Discussion: Tattoos negatively impact the patient's perception of health care workers. Because it can affect the trustworthiness and reliability of the health care worker, we recommend that he or she covers any visible tattoos.
