Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava predstavitev razvoja mobilne aplikacije s programskima jezikoma Java in Kotlin ter njuno razširjenost v industriji za razvoj mobilne aplikacije. Najprej so predstavljene njune lastnosti in značilnosti, potem pa so predstavljene in analizirane njune prednosti ter slabosti. Na koncu so z uporabo okolja za razvoj Android aplikacije uspešno implementirane mobilne aplikacije v oba programska jezika in ugotovljene razlike v razvoju, implementaciji in delovanju mobilnih aplikacij na primeru testne aplikacije, izdelane v obeh programskih jezikih, s pomočjo izvedene komparativne analize.

Title:Comparison of mobile application development with Kotlin and Java programming languages
Abstract:The diploma thesis deals with presentation of developing mobile applications with both programming languages Java and Kotlin, and how they are widespread in industry of mobile applications development nowadays. First, we learned about their features, structures, and characteristics, then presented and analysed their advantages and disadvantages lists. Finally, using Android development environment, we were able to implement mobile applications in both programming languages and by using comparative analysis we identified the differences in the development, implementation, and operation of mobile applications based on test applications made in both programming languages.
