Title:Information technology for first psychosocial aid
Abstract:Introduction: In the diploma thesis we explored whether using modern information technologies can provide basic first psychosocial aid also to persons who would otherwise either not receive it or do not wish to be exposed and seek it themselves. Purpose: The aim was to verify if today's society is ready for the interaction and implementation of information technology in relation to its own physical and mental health. Methods of work: The desired and sought-after information was obtained by finding similar solutions online, gaining information through online articles and other literature, including web portals such as YouTube. Relevant data for analysis and statistical processing were gatherd mainly through an online survey, and the pool of respondents was filled by using social networks. Results: The questionnaire provided information on knowledge of first-aid psychosocial assistance, use of smart devices in everyday life, and confidence in information that modern technology would offer in the field of mental health and stress management through artificial intelligence. With its help we also processed the data statistically. A total of 150 respondents were interviewed. The questionnaire was divided into two sections, where the respondents answered questions related to knowledge of modern technologies and the knowledge and first psychosocial assistance. Discussion and conclusion: Given the subject matter and current level of awareness, we assume that the current situation is reluctant to use modern technologies for first psychosocial aid opportunities. The population still prefers to trust a personal contact with a doctor who is committed to professional secrecy, or rather remain anonymous and do not even use this type of assistance.
