Abstract:Izhodišča: Zdravje samo ni odsotnost patoloških sprememb zdravja, ampak pomeni dobro psihično in fizično počutje, ki vključuje zmožnost za delo in zdravo samopodobo.

Title:Young people´s awareness of obesity risk factors
Abstract:Starting points: Health is not just the absence of pathological changes; it represents A positive psychological and physical state, which includes work ability and healthy confidence. Health itself also incorporates our self-esteem, high productivity and the ability to feel pleasant »in our skin«; healthy self-esteem. Furthermore, health has, unfortunately, become goods that can be bought and is no longer just a valuableness. Method: In this diploma, we used a descriptive work method. In the part, which is based on a research, we used quantitative research work method. We use the query sheet as a research tool. Results: The participants in the survey were students from the Secondary Nursing School and Faculty of Health Sciences, where everyone is studying to be a health worker. We execute an analysis of the obtained results, where we discover that young people are aware of the obesity risk factors, however; they do not do anything to reduce them. We discovered that people with normal body mass index are more aware of the risks caused by obesity because we believe that by considering the risks, we can prevent subsequent risks for developing complications that are more serious. Discussion: It is our goal to help young people grow up to be healthy, conscious and especially responsible individuals. Parents, health workers, teachers, media and all that coincide with decisions and handling of the adolescents have a tremendous impact on this.
