Abstract:Optimizacija je eden od ključnih faktorjev pri razvoju iger in simulacij. Diplomsko delo opisuje uporabo arhitekturnega vzorca Entity component system ter Unity Job System. Ugotovljeno je bilo, ali so tehnologije zadovoljive za implementacijo simulacije ter kakšne so razlike zmogljivosti v primerjavi z enako simulacijo, izdelano s klasičnim pristopom razvoja. Kot uvod v te tehnologije je na kratko opisana teorija in zgodovina tega arhitekturnega vzorca. Sledi implementacija prototipa z omenjenimi vzorci in orodji ter analiza, kjer so primerjani rezultati testiranja obeh prototipov.

Title:CREATING TRAFFIC SIMULATION WITH THE USAGE OF AN ENTITY COMPONENT SYSTEM ARCHITECTURAL PATTERN IN UNITY 3D
Abstract:Optimization is a key factor during game and simulation development. The following thesis will describe the usage of the Entity component system architectural pattern as well as the usage of the Unity Jobs system. Furthermore, it will determine whether mentioned technologies are adequate for the implementation of a simulation and will also illustrate the performance gain in comparison to the same simulation developed with classic object oriented programming. There will be a brief introduction to the Entity component system architectural pattern with some of it's history and an explanation of the theory following the implementation of both prototypes and testing. The thesis will provide a comparison of the results.
