Abstract:V modernem svetu je digitalizacija integrirana v življenje slehernega posameznika. Tudi industrija igrač razvija igrače, ki postajajo del digitalnega sveta. Sprva so se pojavile pametne igrače, opremljene z različnimi senzorji. Takšne igrače otrokom omogočajo nove načine igre, razvijanja veščin in učenja. Naslednji korak v razvoju igrač pa je internet igrač (ang. Internet of Toys, krajše IoToys) kot del koncepta interneta stvari (ang. Internet of Things, krajše IoT). Koncept interneta igrač sestavljajo IoToys igrače (ki se lahko povežejo v lokalna omrežja, internet ali na druge naprave) ter strežniki, oblačne storitve, podatkovne baze, aplikacije in seveda povezava. IoToys omogoča še večjo raznolikost novih iger in aktivnosti, hkrati pa staršem in skrbnikom omogoča spremljanje njihovih otrok in komunikacijo z njimi. Ker se skozi IoToys pretakajo ogromne količine osebnih podatkov, je pomembno raziskati ranljivosti takšnega sistema, še zlasti pri IoToys igračah, ki jih uporabljajo otroci, saj so te mnogo lažje tarče za kibernetske napade kot odrasli, saj nimajo zadostnega znanja in razumevanja za odgovorno ravnanje z digitalnimi napravami in osebnimi podatki. Namen magistrskega dela je raziskati ranljivosti, grožnje, posledice groženj in rešitve na področju IoToys igrač, hkrati pa med starši oz. skrbniki otrok ugotoviti, v kakšni meri so seznanjeni z IoToys igračami ter ranljivostmi in grožnjami, ki jih zadevajo.

Title:Information security and the internet of toys
Abstract:In today's modern world where global digitalisation is the main topic in developement, even the toy industry is developing toys that are a part of the digital world. First, the smart toys were made. They are equiped with sensors that can monitor its surrounding and interact with children. Toys like this offer children new types of play, learning, and skill-developing experiences, as well as a wide variety of content like lullabies, and stories. The next step in development of toys was the Internet of Toys (IoToys). IoToys is a part of the Internet of Things (IoT) experience. It consists of smart toys (that can connect to local networks, the internet and/or other devices), servers, clouds, data bases, applications, and, ofcourse, a connection. IoToys offers an ever bigger variety of experience, activities and functions than smart toys, eve enabling parents to communicate with and monitor their children in real time. Because of the constant flow of personal data, that travels through IoToy sistems, it's important to explore the voulnerabilities of such systems, and devices they use, especially since their users are children, and offer cyber attackers an even easier target than adults, not being aware of threats and the propper use of digital devices, or being able to detect a breach of privacy. The purpose of this thesis is to explore IoToys vulnerabilities, threats, their consequenses and solutions, as well as to study the parents' aquaintance with IoToys devices, their vulnerabilities and threats.
