Title:Termična obdelava odpadnega blata s čistilne naprave s torefikacijo in pirolizo : magistrsko delo

Abstract:Količina odpadnega blata po svetu se povečuje, saj se vedno več odpadnih voda zbira v kanalizaciji in nato obdeluje na vedno večjem številu komunalnih čistilnih naprav. Odstranjevanje odpadnega blata, predstavlja komunalnim podjetjem veliko finančno breme. Izziv s katerim se spoprijemajo strokovnjaki, je najti stroškovno učinkovite in inovativne rešitve, ki se bodo odzivale na okoljske in zakonodajne pritiske. Odvečno biološko blato komunalnih čistilnih naprav za čiščenje odpadnih vod predstavlja pomemben tok komunalnih odpadkov. V Sloveniji nastane dnevno preko 60 ton oziroma letno 20.000 ton suhe snovi. Tak odpadek ima v seznamu odpadkov klasifikacijsko številko 19 08 05 in je nenevaren, saj vsebnost potencialnih okoljsko kritičnih komponent ne presega mejnih vrednosti. Z magistrsko nalogo smo se lotili obdelave odpadnega blata iz komunalne in industrijske čistilne naprave. Pri tem so naši vzorci bili že predhodno obdelani z dehidracijo. Vzorce smo nato sušili do konstantne mase. Sledila je termična obdelava s procesom torefikacije; pirolizo, izveden je bil še razklop z zlatotopko, da smo preverili kakšna je vsebnost težkih kovin. Na koncu smo izdelali pelet z vezivom iz žagovine in ga žarili pri različnih temperaturah, da bi ugotovili pri kateri temperaturi pepel steče.

Title:Thermal treatment of sewage sludge with torrefication and pyrolysis
Abstract:The volume of waste sludge is increasing worldwide, as more and more wastewater is collected in sewage and then treated at an increasing number of municipal wastewater treatment plants. The disposal of waste sludge represents a huge financial burden for utility companies. The challenge faced by experts is to find cost-effective and innovative solutions, which will respond to environmental and regulatory pressures. The excess biological sludge of municipal wastewater treatment plants represents an important stream of municipal waste. In Slovenia, is daily produced over 60 tonnes, respectively annually 20,000 tonnes of dry matter. Such waste is in the waste list with classification number 19 08 05 and it is harmless because the content of the potential environmental critical components does not exceed the limit values. With a master's thesis, we started to processing of waste sludge from municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants. In doing so, our samples have already been pre-treated with dehydration. The samples were then dried to constant weight. This was followed by heat treatment through a process of torrefaction; pyrolysis, and it was performed Aqua regia to check the content of heavy metals. Finally, we have produced pellets with a binder of sawdust and annealed it at different temperatures, to determine at which temperature the ash flows.
