Abstract:
Proučevali smo vpliv različnih koncentracij goveje gnojevke (25 %, 50 %, 100 %) ob kalitvi semen na dolžino korenin in nadzemnih delov črne detelje (Trifolium pratense L.) in bele detelje (Trifolium repens L.).

Title:
Impact of adding cattle slurry at seed germination on the length of the roots and above ground parts of legumes
Abstract:
At the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences was conducted a laboratory germination experiment in the germination chamber in 2018.The effect of different concentrations of cattle slurry (25%, 50%, 100%) on seed germination on root length and above ground parts of red clover (Trifolium pratense L.) and white clover (Trifolium repens L.) was studied. The seeds were soaked in cattle slurry for 14 days. We conclude that the concentration of cattle slurry has a strong influence on the initial growth of the roots and above ground parts of both legumes. At higher concentrations of cattle slurry, the roots and coleoptiles of red clover were shorter compared to white clover and a greater number of single- and multiply leaves per plant developed. As the concentration of cattle slurry increases, the number of multiply leaves per plant in white clover also increases, but the number of single-clustered leaves therefore decreases. Root length is also shorter at higher concentrations of cattle slurry compared to red clover.
