Abstract:Izhodišča: Otroške nalezljive bolezni so načeloma nenevarne in se otrok z njimi pravzaprav prekuži.

Title:The frequency of infectious diseases of children in kindergarten/group care and at home
Abstract:Background: Child infectious diseases are in principle non-dangerous and the child is actually more resistant with them. In most cases, they are accompanied by fever, which is also the first warning sign that something is happening with the child. Methods: We used descriptive and quantitative research methods. As a research instrument, a questionnaire contained 12 questions ware used. In the study 212 parents participated, whose children attend kindergarten, group care or are in home care. Results: In the research study attended 75.00 % of parents whose children are in kindergartens, 6.13 % of parents with children in group care and 18.87 % of parents who have children in home care. Based on the research, we found out that children attending kindergarten are more likely to contract infectious diseases compared to those who are at home. Discussion and conclusion: Children who are in kindergarten / group care are much more exposed to different viruses and consequently they more rapidly and more often get sick. However, with the age, the diseases are falling. Children in home care do not have such contact with other children, and consequently rarely get sick.
