Abstract:V letu 2018 smo na posestvu UKC Pohorski dvor izvedli poskus cepljenja treh kultivarjev paradižnika (Benatar F1, Moneymaker in Arletta F1) na komercialno podlago 'TOR 9055 F1'. Uporabili smo tehniko cepljenja v razkol. Arletta F1' in cv.

Title:Influence of grafting on yield, yield quality, and resistance to late blight in three tomato cultivars
Abstract:In 2018, a grafting experiment using three different tomato cultivars ('Benatar F1', 'Moneymaker', and 'Arletta F1') and the commercial rootstock 'TOR 9055 F1' was conducted at the Pohorski dvor Agricultural Centre of the University of Maribor. The grafting method applied was cleft grafting. The success and influence of grafting on the quality and the fruit yield of four harvests, as well as on the resistance to potato blight were evaluated. The infection magnitude on leaves was evaluated in percentage of infected leaf area. A grafting success rate of above 90% was observed in all three cultivars, in cv. Arletta F1 and cv. Moneymaker the rate was even higher than 95%. The analysis of data obtained from weighing and assessing the saleability of the product showed, that grafting and interaction cultivar and grafting (K × C) had a statistically non-significant effect on fruit yield or quality thereof. Only the cultivar showed a statistically significant impact on fruit yield and its saleability. The highest total fruit yield of all harvests was recorded in cv. Arletta F1 (15,637.9 kg/ha) and lowest in cv. Benatar F1 (8,580.2 kg/ha). The same conclusions can also be made regarding potato blight: only the cultivar had a statistically significant effect on the magnitude of infection. Cv. Benatar F1 (61.1%) was, on average, the most infected, followed by cv. Arletta F1 (52.5%). Cv. Moneymaker displayed the lowest percentage of leaf infection (42.7%).
