Abstract:V magistrskem delu je raziskan odnos mladih do žensk brez otrok.

Title:Young people's attitudes towards childfree women
Abstract:This master's thesis studies the attitude of young adults towards childfree women. The social role of women, a large part of which is determined by motherhood, is defined. This is supposed to represent the fundamental identity of every woman, which begins to form in childhood. The views of different social groups towards (non) maternity are presented, while also describing how childfree women deal with the associated stereotypes and social stigma. The purpose of this thesis is to present the views of young adults towards childfree women, while at the same time evaluating the effects of various factors on the formulation of opinions. We were also interested in the desire of the respondents to take on a maternal role in the future. The survey was conducted on a sample of 154 young adults between the ages of 15 and 29. 29 men and 125 women took part in the survey. The analysis showed that, on average, the views of young adults included in the survey are positive towards childfree women. Differences in question answers with regard to various factors were determined by parametric and non-parametric tests. The results showed that differences in answers are statistically significant in terms of gender and degree of religiousness. Most surveyed young adults (87.7%) believe, that becoming a mother is not the main role of every woman. The majority of surveyed women (86.4%) wish to become mothers.
