Title:Cultural heritage and tolerance
Abstract:This paper within the framework of the Escape project is a presentation of heritage as a memorial of the past, which has greatly captivated both the Slovenian and the cross-border areas. It is also meant to highlight all the dimensions of the attitude towards heritage that can be traced at every step. The paper is divided into two sections. The first covers the Escape project and five thematic sections, that connect heritage at the cross-border areas, that represent five cross-border tourism products ‒ the ones involved in the Escape project. The second covers the last thematic section ‒ Escape to the history of emigration, that further deepens the connection between emigration and cultural heritage at the cross-border areas on the sample case of the village Žepovci (EŠD 28167).
