Izvedli smo intervju z materjo. Vprašanja smo oblikovali s pomočjo 14 osnovnih življenjskih aktivnosti po Virginiji Henderson. Podatke smo nato opisno predstavili. Poznati mora vse pristope in prijeme rokovanja z nedonošenčkom ter pravočasno prepoznati vse možne komplikacije in nanje ustrezno reagirati. Staršem predstavlja mentorja. Od zaposlenih v zdravstveni negi sta starša prejela vse potrebne informacije, kar kaže pozitivno luč o klinični praksi.

Naslov:The premature infant in the incubator
Opis:Theoretical background: Premature infant is a child born before the 37th week of gestational age. Preterm infants who are prematurely born may be prone to severe illness or even death and are placed in an incubator. Research methods: In the theoretical part, we used the descriptive method of work, while in the research part of the final work we used a qualitative methodology. We conducted the interview with the help of 14 basic life activities by Virginia Henderson with the mother of premature baby. The data were then presented descriptively. Results: In a case study, we found that nursing was properly administered and that parents were satisfied and adequately educated with the work and learning of nursing staff. The neonate was placed in the incubator due to premature birth (at 29 4/7 week) and underweight. The Apgar rating was 7/8/8. We also found that because moaning and respiratory acidosis was intubated and connected to mechanical ventilation with the addition of oxygen 30% in the inhaled air. Parents were content and educated with the work and learning of medical staff. They have come across all the ways and devices for proper handling with the infant. Conclusion: Proper handling of premature infants is essential because they are more at risk for the complications. The nurse plays an important role in this. She must know all the approaches for the infant, and must also be able to recognize all possible complications and respond appropriately to them. She represents a mentor for parents. The case study showed a very positive experience. From the nursing staff, the parents received all necessary information and were well acquainted. A case study is such a good example of positive clinical approach, which should be a regular practice.
