Title:OCENA PREHRANSKE STRATEGIJE VRHUNSKIH SLOVENSKIH KAJAKAŠEV IN KANUISTOV NA PODLAGI PRIPOROČIL ŠPORTNE KLINIČNE PREHRANE ZA ŠPORTE MOČI IN HITROSTI

Abstract:Slalom na divjih vodah s kajakom in kanujem predstavlja zahtevno olimpijsko disciplino in ga opredelimo kot šport moči in hitrosti. Vadba športne discipline veslanja na divjih vodah je kompleksna in športnik mora prilagoditi prehransko strategijo presnovnim zahtevam vadbe. Primerno načrtovana prehrana varuje športnikovo zdravje, izboljšuje učinkovitost vadbe in tekmovalne rezultate. Hkrati predstavlja tudi zdravstveno preventivo in zmanjšuje možnost razvoja sindroma RED. Namen diplomske naloge je primerjava prehranskih vnosov vrhunskih kajakašev in kanuistov s priporočili športne prehrane za športe moči in hitrosti. Rezultati analize nakazujejo, da je predvsem pri moških športnikih prenizek vnos energije zaradi prenizkega vnosa OGH in M. Pri ženskih športnicah je ta problem manj izrazit. Na osnovi rezultatov diplomske naloge lahko priporočimo izobraževanje športnikov o pomenu pravilne športne prehrane in redno vključevanje prehranske obravnave v proces športne vadbe slaloma na divjih vodah s kajakom in kanujem. Prehransko strategijo športnika je potrebno spremljati in jo individualno prilagajati potrebam športnika. Vzgojo športnikov je potrebno pričeti že v mladih letih, da zaradi sindroma RED nista ogrožena rast in ravoj mladih športnikov.

Title:EVALUATION OF NUTRITIONAL STRATEGY OF ELITE SLOVENIAN KAYAKERS BASED ON SPORTS CLINICAL NUTRITION RECOMMENDATIONS FOR POWER AND STRENGTH SPORTS
Abstract:Kayak and canoe wild water slalom represent a challenging Olympic discipline and are defined as power and strength sports. The training of kayak and canoe slalom is complex, and athletes must adapt their nutritional strategy to the metabolic requirements of the physical activity. A properly designed diet protects the sportsman's health and improves training efficiency and competitive results. At the same time, it represents health prevention and reduces the possibility of developing the RED syndrome. The purpose of the diploma thesis is to compare the nutritional intake of elite kayakers with the recommendations of sports nutrition for power and strength sports. The results indicate inadequate energy intake among male kayakers, mainly due to the insufficient intake of carbohydrates and fats. In females, this problem is less pronounced. Based on the results of the diploma thesis, we believe that athletes should be informed about the proper sports nutrition, and regular nutritional evaluation should be included in the training process. The nutritional strategy of sportsmen should be monitored and adapted to individual needs. Nutrition education should begin at an early age to prevent the development of the RED syndrome, which can compromise the growth and development of young athletes.
