Abstract:Pešci in kolesarji so najšibkejši udeleženci v cestnem prometu. Ker je stanje zaskrbljujoče, smo si v diplomski nalogi zastavili vprašanje, kako varni so pešci in kolesarji v Mariboru v primerjavi z Ljubljano.

Title:Analysis of sites of concentrations of traffic accidents with cyclists and pedestrians on the municipal roads in the municipality of Maribor
Abstract:Pedestrians and cyclists are the weakest participants in the road transport. The conditions are worsening with the increasing degree of motorization in Slovenia, as there are more and more injuries of non-motorized participants in conditions of high velocity of motoring vehicles. Because the condition is alarming, we asked a question in the bachelor’s thesis how safe the pedestrians and cyclists in Maribor in comparison with Ljubljana. In the area of the Maribor municipality, we analyzed all the traffic accidents and ranked them by weights. Thus, we acquired the area with the majority of traffic accidents with cyclists and pedestrians. We determined the period of the analysis from 2008 to 2017. We discussed only the municipal roads in Maribor and the traffic accidents with injuries or fatal outcome. We analyzed the happening in the site of concentration of traffic accidents and gave proposals for the improvement of the condition in the area with the greatest number of pondered traffic accidents with cyclists and pedestrians on the municipality roads in the Maribor municipality.
