Abstract:V projektnem delu je predstavljeno delovanje ter izdelava programa za izračun hitrosti vrtenja inkrementalnega dajalnika. Podrobneje so opisani inkrementalni dajalniki, ter njihove različne izvedbe. Prav tako je predstavljena uporabljena strojna oprema SIMATIC S7-300 in programska oprema STEP 7. Po opravljenih meritvah smo prišli do ugotovitve, da za merjenje pri višjih hitrostih uporabimo merjenje impulzov v časovnem obdobju, medtem, ko za manjše hitrosti vrtenja uporabimo merjenje časa med impulzoma.

Title:Calculation of speed of an rotary incremental encoder with controller S7-314
Abstract:Described in this project is the functioning and production of the program for calculating the speed of a rotary incremental encoder. We discussed different types of incremental encoders, some of them even in detail, and their various implementations. Also described are SIMATIC S7-300 hardware and STEP 7 software. After conducting the measurements we reached a conclusion that counting pulses in a time frame is used for higher speeds whereas the measurement of time between pulses is used for lower speeds.
