Abstract:Otrokom v današnjem času pogosto primanjkuje časa za prosto igro in sprostitvene dejavnosti, saj so preveč zaposleni z interesnimi dejavnostmi in delom doma. V raziskavi sta bili uporabljeni deskriptivna in kavzalno-neeksperimentalna metoda pedagoškega raziskovanja. Podatke smo zbirali s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika in jih kasneje obdelali v programu SPSS. V raziskavi so sodelovali starši predšolskih otrok.

Title:Overburdening of preschool children and their parents
Abstract:Nowadays, children lack time for free-time game and recreational activities, because they are preoccupied with extracurricular activities and homework. In the theoretical part, the thesis Overburdening of pre-school children and their parents focuses on the concept of overburdening, extracurricular activities and free time. The thesis names several kinds of overload that pre-schoolers, their parents and kindergarten teachers face. The purpose of the thesis is to research and find out if the pre-schoolers and their parents are preoccupied. Both, descriptive and causal non-experimental methods of pedagogical research are used. The data was collected by survey questionnaire and processed using the SPSS computer programme. Pre-schoolers’ parents participated in the survey. The aim of the survey was to analyse time that children spend for homework and extracurricular activities and investigate to what extend this preoccupies children and their parents, who accompany and offer help to the pre-schoolers. The results clearly specify that children aged 4 and over are more involved in extracurricular activities because they attend the activities more often. There are many children that attend several extracurricular activities.
Keywords:Extracurricular activities, preoccupation, free time, cooperation, recreational activities, kindergarten.
