S SWOT analizo so predstavljene prednosti, slabosti, priložnosti in nevarnosti kmetije. Z oceno ekonomskih in finančnih parametrov smo ovrednotili ekonomsko upravičenost preusmeritve in investicije.

Title:Economics of Transition to Organic Farming with an Investment Appraisal
Abstract:From all aspects of food production, organic farming is increasingly seen as the way of farming which will present a source of rich, soil cultivated, naturally grown foods. A reorganization plan into an organic farm for the Lebert conventional hill farm has been developed, which envisages the introduction of supplementary activities. The SWOT analysis presents advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and threats. With the assessment of economic and financial parameters we evaluated the economic viability of the conversion and investment. The financial result in conventional production amounted to € 17,801.74 and in the period of organic production to € 25.717,34. The economic coefficient has risen from 1.33 to 1.70, which means that the farm operates economically more efficiently than it did in conventional production. With the evaluation of the investment, we analyzed bread baking as a supplementary activity on the farm. According to the estimates of sales, labor and costs, the investment is reimbursed in the assumed parameters of the analysis within three years. Organic farming is therefore an appropriate development orientation for smaller hill farms.
