Title:Vpliv temperature na volumetrične lastnosti binarnih mešanic alkoholov

Abstract:Diplomsko delo prikazuje študijo vpliva alkoholov z eno ali več OH skupinami na strukturo vode in vpliv temperature na volumetrične lastnosti binarnih mešanic alkoholov. Uporabljali smo 2-butanol, butan-1,2-diol, butan-1,2,4-triol in Eritritol. Merili smo viskoznost in gostoto ter iz teh podatkov izračunali navidezni molski raztopine in parcialni molski volumen topljneca pri neskončnem razredčenju v temperaturnem območju med 293,15 K in 333,15 K. Navidezni molski volumen razredčenih raztopin izbranih alkoholov se zmanjšuje z naraščajočo koncentracijo in povečuje z dvigom temperature pri posameznih alkoholih. V skladu z literaturo smo na osnovi matematičnih zvez, ki vključujejo spremembo predznaka za Debye Hückel-ov limitni naklon molskega volumna, spremembo vrednosti za drugi odvod parcialnega molskega volumna topljenca pri neskončnem razredčenju s temperaturo, ki je večji ali manjši od nič, ter vrednost temperaturnega koeficienta viskoznosti B, ki je prav tako ali večji ali manjši od nič okarakterizirali vpliv topljenca na organizacijo molekul topila v razredčenih raztopinah izbranih alkoholov. Vsi trije omenjeni parametri potrjujejo, da imajo vsi štirje alkoholi pri izbranih koncentracijah v temperaturnem območju med 293,15 K in 333,15 K oblikovalni vpliv na strukturo vode.

Title:Effect of temperature on partial volumes of binary mixtures of alcohols
Abstract:This bachelor degree presents the study on how alcohols effect the structure of water and the influence of temperature on the volumetric properties of binary mixtures of alcohols. We used four alcohols 2-butenol, 1,2-butanediol, 1,2,4-butanetriol and Erythritol. From measured viscosity and density, we calculated a virtual and partial molar volume of diluted solutions at different proportions of molality in the temperature range between 293.15 K and 333.15 K. The apparent molar volume of diluted solutions of the selected alcohols decreases with increasing concentration and increases with the rise in temperature. According to the literature, on the basis of mathematical relationships involving the change of the sign for Debye Hückel's limiting inclination of molar volume, the change in the value for the second derivative of the partial molar volume of the solute at infinite dilution with respect to temperature greater than or less than zero, and the value of the temperature viscosity coefficient B, which is, in fact, greater or less than zero. All three of these parameters confirm that all four alcohols at the selected concentrations have a organizing effect on the water structure in the temperature range between 293.15 K and 333.15 K.
