Abstract:Za izobraževanje odraslih oseb z motnjo v duševnem razvoju je ključno vseživljenjsko izobraževanje. Del vseživljenjskega izobraževanja je učenje učenja. Odrasli z motnjo v duševnem razvoju imajo znižane intelektualne zmožnosti, zato potrebujejo drugačne načine, metode in strategije poučevanja in učenja.

Title:Learning to learn of adults with mental disorders through easy-to-read
Abstract:A crucial process in education for adults with mental disorders is lifelong learning. A part of lifelong learning is the learning to learn competence. Adults with mental disorders have weaker intellectual abilities, so they require other ways, methods and strategies to learn. One of the ways for adults with mental disorders to acquire important information is easy-to-read. Easy-to-read materials are written in a form that is appropriate, understandable and easily legible to them. In the empirical part of this thesis, we reviewed the learning abilities of adults with mental disorders with the help of easy-to-read texts. The research was conducted in the Care and Working Centre Murska Sobota. With testing in easy reading, we achieved positive effects on the cognitive process, especially on memory and information retention. During the research we were also checking the adequacy of the texts prepared. We have established that active learning of adults with mental disorders is possible and effective, as their information retention of a specific topic has improved.
