Abstract:Turizem je postal največja svetovna storitvena panoga.

Title:Sustainable tourism development and its implementation : case study of Slovenian glamping accommodation providers
Abstract:Tourism is one of the world's largest industries. It has become one of the fastest growing economic sectors in the world which also causes negative environmental and social impacts. The awareness of the problem of mass tourism led researchers to change past methods and policies of tourism and work towards the development of new alternative forms of tourism. One of the alternative forms of tourism is also glamping, which is short for glamurous camping and it is a growing trend in ecotourism. In the last few years, Slovenia has become one of the destinations with the best glamping offer. Slovenia has 46 glamping sites and the numbers are increasing. The concept of a glamping is based on luxury and comfort, which could have an increased impacts on the environment. In this master's thesis the main question is to discover the impacts of glamping on the environment in Slovenia. Are providers of glamping following the concept of sustainable development in their business? In the survey analysis we have proved that newly established glamping facilities are more successful in implementing concepts of sustainable development into their business.
