Raziskovalna metodologija: Uporabili smo kvantitatvno raziskovalno metodo. Anketni vprašalnik smo razdelili na več vsebinskih sklopov. S pomočjo Likertkve lestvice smo preverili stopnjo strinjanja respondetov s posameznimi trditvami. Podatke smo obdelali z opisnimi in inferenčnimi statističnimi metodami, uporabili smo osnovne opisne statistike.

Title:Ensuring quality and patient safety with limited human and material resources in the hospital environment
Abstract:Theoretical basis: The lack of appropriate personnel standards in health care has been a pressing problem in Slovenia for quite some time. The global economic crisis has only intensified the situation. The consequence was passing the Law of balancing public finances, which refers also to employment in health care. Health care in result was presented with a challenge. On one hand some institutions started implementing the quality and safety management system and on the other hand they faced the lack of qualified personnel. Purpose: The thesis presents whether or not it is possible and the ways that make it possible to ensure high quality and safe treatment of patients while facing the lack of personnel and materials. The theoretical part of the thesis shortly summarizes the ways of meeting quality and safety standards and the empirical part presents how the health care workers perceive the lack of personnel and necessary materials, but also tries to establish whether or not the quality management allows high quality and safe treatment of health care users. Research methodology: Quantitative research method was used. The questionnaire was separated in several thematic parts. With the use of Likert scale we checked the level of agreement of respondents with a certain statement. The data was processed using descriptive and inferential statistic methods, basic descriptive statistics were used. To individual departments of General Hospital Murska Sobota we distributed 150 questionnaires to health care employees, of which 125 were filled in and returned. Results: The results of the research show, that the employees are familiar with the quality management system of the hospital, so the first hypothesis was confirmed. The respondents are however not unified in opinion, that they have all necessary accessories to disposal for implementation of high quality and safe health care, this is why the second hypothesis cannot be entirely confirmed. Discussion: From the results of the research can be concluded that the quality management system in the hospital is set so, that the employees receive information for high quality and save treatment of patients, but certain measures should be taken in order for the employees to implement health care with modern materials, which are to be permanently to their disposal.
