Abstract:Diplomsko delo govori o odrivanju laži v preiskovalnih razgovorih. V prvem delu diplomskega dela je zajeta kratka predstavitev pojma laganja in laži, kakšne vrste laži poznamo in zakaj ljudje sploh lažemo.

Title:The detection of lies in the investigative interviews
Abstract:Degree is about The detection of lies in the investigative interviews. Throught the years, liars have developed countless strategies, which some of them today use successfully in investigative interviews with the intention of misleading investigators. Also, through these years, a number of studies have been carried out, precisely in order to identify these strategies and to improve police capacities for identifying liars, and thus identifying their deception. In the first part of the degree, is a brief presentation of the concept of lying and lies, what kind of lies we know and why people are lying at all. In the second part, emphasis is placed on the strategies of the suspects and the recognition of these strategies (in terms of verbal and non-verbal signs), what are the signs of deception and how to recognize the deception in the investigative interview. At the end there is a description of the cognitive interview technique and the PEACE model technique and its stages. The main purpose of this degree is to find out which are the most used strategies of guilty suspects, how to identify these strategies, and how the cognitive interview technique and the PEACE model developed in England help with identify these strategies. In the final part of the degree follows a comparison of two articles on the topic of verbal and non-verbal lying signs, hoping to discover as many strategies and their characters as possible. By doing so, we will compare two other articles, one of which will be the performance of the cognitive interview technique and the second will be about the success of the PEACE model in interrogating suspects (guilty or not).
