Title:The exposure of slovenian postal workers to the danger of radiological chemical and biological agents
Abstract:In every day life we meet with different factors and thus exposed to different risks, either at home or at work. One of the important tasks of each business organization is to ensure a safe working environment. The purpose of this thesis is to determine whether the employees of Post of Slovenia, who are handling all kinds of parcels on a daily basis, are exposed to chemical, biological and radiological agents (CBR agents). In the theoretical part of this thesis we described the Post of Slovenia and its services which are set by the national legislation. We also shortly described the different types of parcels that the employees are handling. Then we focused on the Post of Slovenia's safety measurements already in place and introduced the hazards to which its employees are exposed, that is CBR agents. In the second part of our thesis we researched if the employees of the Post of Slovenia are aware of the safety procedures and if they are truly in danger of being exposed to the CBR agents. We came to the conclusion that it is hard to obtain true findings since the employees are reluctant to discuss this sensitive topic out because of fear the for their positions.
