Abstract:Proizvodnja električne energije z geotermično energijo v mnogih primerih ostane neizkoriščena. Dobljeni rezultati nam ponujajo vpogled v delovanje obeh sistemov in potrjujejo naše postavljene hipoteze.

Title:Use of biomass to increase efficiency of geothermal power plant
Abstract:The production of electric power with geothermal energy in many cases stays unexploited. The main cause is in heath sources with low temperatures which do not allow the increasement of efficiency because of low temperature. In my thesis I have represented the operation of geothermal power plant which contains heat sources with low temperatures to whom we add additional heath source. In our case this is the biomass. For more effective operation and bigger efficiency of the sistem I have been using the binary thermodynamic Kalina cycle for the production of electric power. I chose the Kalina sistem- KCS11, which is the most represented in the world, because of its simplicity and in simple and consequently easier to design and optimize. We studied the operation and efficiency of such sistem and added the additional heat source. The results offer us the insight into the operation of both sistems and confirm our hypothesis. After the economic analysis we reach findigs that the additional heat source does not bring the effect that we wanted.
