Abstract:Naši trenutni vzorci rasti gospodarstva niso učinkoviti.

Title:A Comparative Analysis of Green Growth of Slovenia and Austria
Abstract:Our current patterns of economic growth are ineffective. Gross domestic product is used as the only measure of economic progress, but it is not sufficient because it does not take into account the contribution of natural resources to human well-being. Uneconomic management of natural resources can cause irreversible damage and create barriers to economic growth and development. That is why we need different patterns of growth that will allow progress and development while taking into account the fact that natural goods are not unlimited. We need a strategy that encourages green growth and thus sets a framework for the functioning of the economy in which natural resources will continue to provide resources on which our well-being depends. Indicators of green growth are very important for our further development. In this diploma thesis we determine by the analysis of green growth indicators the extent to which Slovenia and Austria realize green growth. Given the selected indicators, we found out that the selected indicators of green growth in Slovenia are better, and that Slovenia is progressing faster in these selected indicators. We conclude that a more comprehensive and in-depth analysis of several indicators would give a more realistic and clear picture of the situation.
