Abstract:Podjetja nenehno iščejo načine za optimiziranje delovnih procesov, saj se vedno najdejo novi načini optimiranja.

Title:Warehouse management system improvements proposal for a cosmetic industry company
Abstract:Companies are constantly searching for ways to optimize work processes, due to the fact that new optimization methods are always available. The competition never sleeps. This is why competitive advantage in comparison to other companies is of extraordinary importance for the survival and growth of a company. Because storage on the one hand does not generate income by itself, but on the other hand has to provide sufficient amounts of stock for the undisturbed work in the company's production, there is more and more discussion on lowering storage costs. Despite the company already having an incorporated work process, the management decided to analyse the work process of raw material storage from the purchase of raw materials to their consumption. By configuring the warehouse management system the amount of work of employees, as well as the number of mistakes in storage and maintenance of stock has been decreased. The warehouse became tidier, and the amount of stock has been lowered, while still allowing the co-dependent departments of the company to continue working undisturbed. Despite some processes, especially the commissioning of goods, being slowed down, other processes have in turn become more disburdened and faster, which ultimately led to more efficient operations of the company.
