Abstract:Teoretična izhodišča: Avtotransfuzija je oblika transfuzije, pri kateri sta dajalec in prejemnik krvi ista oseba. Vstavitev endoproteze kolka je je ortopedska operacija kjer je predvidena izguba večje količine krvi, zato je nadomeščanje krvi nujno potrebno. Medicinska sestra ima, pri vseh oblikah avtotransfuzijskega vračanja krvi samostojno vlogo, zato mora poznati potencialne komplikacije. Metodologija: V diplomskem delu smo s tehniko opisne metode dela preučili in opisali znanja, stališča in mnenja slovenske in tuje strokovne literature iz knjig in spleta.

Title:Autologous blood transfusion in hip replacement
Abstract:Theoretical background: Autologous blood transfusion is the collection and re-infusion of the patient's own blood or blood components. Total hip arthroplasty is a orthopedic surgery where huge amount of blood loss is predicted and blood management is required. Nurse's role is to predict and recognize potencial complications that may occur during the re-infusion. Methodology: We have used the descriptive method to study and decribe knowledge and opinions of different authors from scientific literature. We have analized the literature using PRISMA method. We used literature younger than 10 years with open access in Slovenian and English language apllying keywords. Results: Autologous blood transfusion as the safest type of transfusion is used worldwide. Intraoperative and postoperative blood salvage are most commonly used, increasing postoperative Hemoglobin levels and decreasing length of hospital stay. Using autologous blood transfusion have also impact on a faster recover after the operation. Discussion and Conclusion: The frequency of orthopedic surgery, especially hip arthroplasty is increasing because of the ageing of population. In order to many complications, contraindication and high financial costs, autologous blood transfusion use is increasing.
Keywords:Keywords: autologous blood transfusion, intraoperative blood salvage, postoperative blood salvage. nursing the patient after autologous blood transfusion, blood loss during surgery
