Abstract:
Grafična gesla so se pojavila kot alternativa tekstovnim geslom in so jih spodbudile obljube o boljši zapomnljivosti ter večji odpornosti na napade z grobo silo ter slovarjem. V diplomskem delu smo analizirali različne metode avtentikacije na podlagi znanja in podrobneje spoznali tri glavne kategorije grafičnih gesel: princip spomina, princip prepoznave in princip namiga ter spomina. V nadaljevanju smo predstavili različne napade na grafična gesla in analizirali njihove slabosti. V drugem delu smo naredili napad z grobo silo in slovarjem na Passpoint grafično geslo ter primerjali njegovo odpornost proti tekstovnim geslom.

Title:
Brute force and dictionary attack on graphical passwords
Abstract:
Graphical passwords where invented as an alternative to textual passwords and were prompted by promises of improving memorability and stronger resilience against brute force and dictionary attacks. We analysed various methods of knowledge-based authentication with special interest in to the three main categories of graphical passwords: recall-based, recognition-based and cued-recall-based. Moreover, we presented various of possible attacks on graphical passwords and analysed their weaknesses. In the second part, we made a brute force and a dictionary attack on a Passpoint graphical password and compared its resistance against textual passwords.
