Abstract:V diplomskem delu obravnavamo preiskovanje ropov na območju PU Novo mesto.

Title:Investigating robbery (in the area PD Novo mesto in years 2011 - 2015)
Abstract:The diploma thesis deals with robbery investigation in the area of Police Directorate Novo mesto. When planning a robbery an offender does not need any special knowledge or an organization because its execution is quite simple and does not demand a special technique. Exceptions are bank robberies and robberies in other financial institutions because they are carefully planned and studied. In these cases robbery booty is big but the risk that a robber can be found is even bigger. When proving robbery criminal police officers most often use the method of detection or comparison of contact traces found at the scene of the act and contact traces found on a suspect. The research helped us come to two conclusions: there is rather a small amount of robberies in the area of PD Novo mesto and physical force is most often used in robbery executions by offenders. Based on statistical calculations the hypothesis saying that offenders most often used firearms in case of robbery was rejected. A more detailed data study shows that in 90% an offender used physical power, whereas firearms were used in 6 cases only (6% share). Our findings also show that the number of robberies in the area of PD Novo mesto is different from the national average because the number of such criminal offences is approximately a third lower than the national average. Based on statistical calculations the second hypothesis – most robberies happen in the evenings – can be confirmed. Calculations show that 35% of robberies were executed in the period between 18:00 and 23:59.
